My Bulbs Do Not Turn On With My Pixie Dimmer at Low Settings

If your LiquidLEDs bulbs are not turning on when your Pixie dimmer is set to a low level, this is expected behaviour and your bulbs are most likely working perfectly.

Why Does This Happen?

Digital dimmers like the Pixie dimmer require a certain minimum amount of power to turn on a bulb. When the dimmer is set too low (for example, below 35%), there may not be enough energy to start the bulb. This is a common characteristic of energy-efficient LED bulbs when paired with modern dimming systems.

How to Fix It

The simplest solution is to set a minimum brightness level within the Pixie app's device settings. We recommend setting the minimum brightness level to 35% or slightly higher. This ensures the bulb always receives enough power to turn on, even at your lowest desired brightness.

Steps to Adjust the Minimum Brightness in the Pixie App

  1. Open the Pixie app on your device
  2. Select the relevant dimmer switch
  3. Navigate to Device Settings
  4. Find the Minimum Brightness or Low Trim setting
  5. Adjust it to 35% or higher
  6. Save the settings and test your bulbs
